DHAKA, Jan 18, 2024 (BSS) - A court here today granted bail to BNP standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury in four more cases filed with the capital's Ramna and Paltan Model Police Stations.

As the BNP leader was produced before the court today, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain passed the order on Taka 10,000 bond.

Earlier on Wednesday, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Khasru secured bail in Police Constable Amirul Islam killing case.

A constable was killed during BNP's grand rally on October 28 last year while performing duty at Naya Paltan. Also, the residence of the Chief Justice was vandalized by some BNP men during the mayhem.

Police filed 10 separate cases the following night against 164 BNP leaders and activists including Fakhrul and Khasru.
