GOPALGANJ, Dec 22, 2023 (BSS) - Election campaign for Awami League nominated candidate for Gopalganj-3 constituency (Kotalipara-Tungipara) Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was held in Kotalipara upazila of the district yesterday (Thursday).

Kotalipara upazila Mohila Awami League organised the campaign for the national polls slated for January 7.

Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, member of Central  Working Committee of Awami League Advisory Council and former president of FBCCI was present as the chief guest in a street corner meeting on this occasion.

President of Kotalipara Upazila Mohila Awami League and Chairman of Amtali Union Parishad Rafeza Begum presided over the meeting.

Representative of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's constituency and former senior secretary Md. Shahid Ulla Khandaker, Municipal Mayor Matiar Rahman Hazra, District Mohila Awami League President Nasima Akhtar Rubel, its General Secretary Mahmuda Begum, Upazila Mohila League general secretary Shanti Lata Barai, senior leaders of Awami League, Jubo League, Chhatra League and Jubo Mohila League, among others, spoke.

Meanwhile, General Secretary of Ghaghar Bazar Banik Samiti and Vice-President of District Krishak League Md. Mostafa Kamal held public meetings as part of campaign for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in various areas of Ramsheel Union.

Ramsheel Union Perished Chairman Shyamal Kanti Biswas, other party leaders and workers, among others, were present.
