DHAKA, Nov 24, 2023 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested four persons, including a BNP activist, from different areas of the capital in a sabotage case.

The arrested are Office Secretary of DSCC Ward No 24 unit of BNP Mohammad Rahatul Islam, 55, Shah Alam Golap, 45, Md Shamchul Islam, 46, and Jinnatul Islam Majumdar, 44.

Confirming the matter, Deputy Director of RAB-10 Aminul Islam today told BSS that acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-10 arrested them from Demra, Kotwali, Bangshal and Lalbagh areas of the capital on Thursday night.

The RAB official said that during preliminary interrogation, the arrested have admitted their involvement in various sabotage plans.

He said that the arrested have been handed over to the respective police stations.
