DHAKA, Sept 6, 2021 (BSS) - Light to moderate rain or thundershowers
accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur in different parts of
the country, a met office release said today.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty
wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna,
Barishal, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet with moderately heavy to
heavy falls at some places over the country, it said.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
A low pressure area has formed over Northwest Bay and adjoining West
Central Bay off Odisha coast. It is likely to intensify further.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajsthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya
Pradesh, Odisha, Centre of the low to Assam across Southern part of
Bangladesh.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay.
Country's maximum temperature yesterday was recorded 36.2 degrees Celsius
at Tetulia and minimum temperature today was 24.6 degrees Celsius at Cox's
bazaar.
The highest rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00 am today was recorded
112 millimeters (mm) in Cumilla.
Today's sunset at 6.11 PM and tomorrow's sunrise at 5.42 AM at Dhaka.
