Four JMB operators held in Mymensingh
MYMENSINGH, Sept 4, 2021 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion arrested four members of outlawed outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen (JMB) from Khagdahar of the district at midnight last night.
The arrested are Julhash Uddin alias Qaderi, 34, hailed from the district, Md Alal alias Ishhaq, 48, Robaed Alam alias Drubo, 33, an inhabitant of Brahmanbaria and Md Abu Aiyub alias Khalid from Rangpur.
On information, a team of the RAB-14 conducted a raid in Khagdahar area at midnight last night. Sensing their presence, a group of JMB operatives opened fire on the RAB men which triggered them retaliation. At a stage, the RAB member able to catch the JMB men, said Al Moin, director (legal and media wing) of RAB-14 said in a press briefing at their office this morning.
RAB-14 also seized a foreign-made pistol, a magazine, three rounds of bullets, eight bomb-like objects and a boat from their possession.
