TUNGIPARA, Gopalganj, Sept 30, 2023 (BSS) - Newly appointed Chief Engineer of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Md. Ali Akhtar Hossain today paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj.

On September 26, Md. Ali Akhtar Hossain was appointed as the Chief Engineer of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) through a gazette notification.

After laying the wreath, the chief engineer stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the Father of the Nation.

Later, he offered munajat seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs who had to embrace martyrdom on the fateful August 15, 1975.

A special prayer was also offered seeking longevity of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family members.

The Chief Engineer signed the visitors' book at the Tungipara Mausoleum Complex.

Additional Chief Engineers of LGED, Supervising Engineer and Executive Engineer, officials, among others, were present.
