DHAKA, Sept 30, 2023 (BSS) - Information and Broadcasting Minister and Awami League Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of ex-civil aviation and tourism minister and lawmaker of Lakshmipur-3 constituency Shahjahan Kamal.

In a message of condolence, the information minister prayed for eternal peace of departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Hasan said Shahjahan Kamal was a valiant Freedom Fighter and served as a member of the board of directors of Janata Bank.

 "We have lost a hardworking personality at his death", he said.

Shahjahan Kamal passed away while undergoing treatment at a city hospital in the early hours today at the age of 73.
