Sheikh Hasina's 77th birthday celebrated in Rangpur
RANGPUR, Sept 28, 2023 (BSS) - The district and metropolitan units of Awami League and its associate bodies today celebrated the 77th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina with a renewed pledge to build a smart Bangladesh under her leadership.
Marking the birthday celebration of Sheikh Hasina, Awami League and associate bodies chalked out programs including colorful rallies, milad and doa mehfils, distribution of food to the poor and orphans and discussions.
The district Awami League organised the main milad mehfil followed by special munajats at District Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center seeking sound health, long life and continuous success of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Besides, the district and metropolitan units of Chhatra League, Jubo League and other associate organisations organised milad mehfils at District Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center, Keramotia Jam-e-Mosque and other mosques in the city.
At night, the district and metropolitan units of Awami League organised separate discussions and milad mehfils followed by offering special munajats at their respective offices in Betpotti area of the city.
Joint Convener of district Awami League Mazed Ali Babul, its senior leaders Rosy Rahman and Jashem Bin Hossain Jummon, Convener of Metropolitan Awami League Dr. Md. Delwar Hossain, its Joint Convener Md. Abul Kashem, among others, spoke.
Besides, the district and metropolitan units of Mohila Awami League, Swechchasebak League, Sramik League, Jubo League, Chhatra League and other associate bodies celebrated the 77th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina through daylong programs.
Congratulating Sheikh Hasina on her birthday, the speakers sought divine blessings for her sound health, long life and continuous success in building a prosperous 'Sonar Bangla' as dreamed by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
They urged leaders and workers of AL and its associate bodies to further strengthen the hands of Sheikh Hasina to accelerate the pace of national advancement for building a hunger-free, prosperous and developed smart Bangladesh by 2041.
Joint Convener of Rangpur district Awami League Mazed Ali Babul said the nation is on the way to build a developed 'Sonar Bangla' under the farsighted leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to finish Bangabandhu's incomplete tasks.
"Leaders and workers of Awami League and its associate bodies should remain vigilant against any conspiracy for continuation of development under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the way to build a developed smart Bangladesh," he said.
