NETRAKONA, Sept 28, 2023 (BSS) - State Minister for Social Welfare Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru today said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been steering the country towards progress and prosperity to make the country smart Bangladesh. 

"The premier has been rendering round-the-clock service with utmost efficiency and dynamism to ensure socio-economic emancipation of the people and establish the country as a happy, developed and smart Bangladesh" he said.

The state minister was addressing as the chief guest at a discussion meeting held at temporary campus of Sheikh Hasina University here to mark the 77th birth anniversary of prime minister Sheikh Hasina. 

"Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina attained a remarkable success in moving the country towards progress and prosperity in an indomitable space", Khasru said and called upon all to cast their votes for 'boat' the electoral symbol of Awami League, in the upcoming general election to make Sheikh Hasina as prime minister again for continuing the current development spree of the country. 

Chaired by vice-chancellor of Sheikh Hasina University Professor Dr. Gulam Kabir, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Habiba Rahman Khan Shefali, MP, Treasurer of Sheikh Hasina University Professor Dr. Subrota Kumar Aditya, Register Subra Chandan Moholi, Deputy Commissioner Shahed Parvez and Police Super Foyaz Ahmed. 

Former vice-chancellor of National University Professor Dr. Haun-or-Rashid addressed the meeting as the main speaker. 

The meeting was followed by a special prayer seeking blessings of Almighty Allah for good health and long life of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
