DHAKA, Sept 27, 2023 (BSS) - Information Commission Bangladesh (ICB) today organized a discussion, marking the International Day for Universal Access to Information, aimed at creating public awareness about the use of Right to Information (RTI) Act to ensure people access to information.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud addressed the discussion as the chief guest at ICB auditorium in the city's Agargaon area in the morning, said a press release.

Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) Dr Abdul Malek presided over the discussion while former CIC Ambassador (retd) Mohammad Jamir and Secretary of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry Md Humayun Kabir Khandaker spoke as special guests.
Information commissioners Shahidul Alam Jhinuk and Masuda Bhatti also spoke at the event while ICB Secretary Zubaida Nasreen delivered the welcome address.

Head and representatives of different government and privates offices, academicians and journalists joined the discussion.
