DHAKA, Sept 9, 2023 (BSS) - Nargis Begum Mini and Ahmed Pipul have been elected as President and General Secretary respectively of Dhaka University Mass Communication and Journalism Alumni Association (DUMCJAA).

The election was held today at the 12th Annual General Meeting and honorary programme of the association at the university.

Kazi Moazzem Hossain, Salauddin Chowdhury, Shahed Chowdhury and Mir Shamsuzzaman Roni were elected as vice presidents while Sharmin Iffat Shams, Anwar Hossain Majumder, Jasmine Jahan, Shawkat Ahmed Foridi, Nazma binte Alamgir were elected as joint general secretaries.

Abdul Mannan, Imran Hossain and Shakil Hasan elected as the assistant general secretary.

The other office bearers are: Finance Secretary Anwarul Azim, Organizing Secretary Hasanullah Khan Rana, Cultural Secretary Nadia Sharmin, Publication Secretary Nasreen Akhtar, Communication Secretary Tarek Hasan Nirjhor and Office Secretary Reza Farhad.

The elected executive members are: Swapan Kumar Das, Sabrina Sultana Chowdhury, M Khairul Kabir, Kamaluddin Jasim, Munshi Samsuddin Liton, Giyas Uddin Ahmed, Dr. Saiful Haque, Md. Hedayatul Islam, Sultan Mahmudur Rahman, Mohiuddin Muzahid Mahi, Tauhidul Hasan Nitol, Swapan Basu, Mahbuba Rakhi, Mostafa Mohammad Tahan, Niloy Kumar Biswas, Mohammad Rezaul Karim Shammi, Mohammad Kefaitullah Mridha, Nirodh Kumar Barman, Rafiqul Islam, Mohammad Mohiuddin and Shariful Islam.
