DHAKA, Sept 07, 2023 (BSS) - A rickshaw-puller died and two students were injured as a tree fell on a running rickshaw in the Teacher-student Centre area on Dhaka University campus.

"The incident took place during a rain-thunderstorm at around 5 pm, leaving three people injured. The rickshaw-puller was declared dead at around 5:45 pm after he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH)", said DMCH police outpost in-charge (inspector) Bachchu Mia.

Injured two students - Wahida Akhtar and Saiful Islam- are currently undergoing treatment at the DMCH, he added.
