DHAKA, Sept 6, 2023 (BSS) - The 12th death anniversary of Sayem-ur Rahman

Sayem, the only son of Awami League (AL) Presidium Member Advocate Jahangir
Kabir Nanak, was observed today through various programmes.

The programmes included holding discussions, visiting Sayem's grave at Banani
graveyard, offering doa-mahfils and arranging Khatam-e-Quran in different
mosques.

Marking the anniversary, the deceased's family members including Jahangir
Kabir Nanak and his wife Advocate Arjuman Banu Nargis visited the Banani
graveyard in the capital and later, a special prayer was offered there
seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Sayem.

Besides, doa-mahfils were also held at different mosques in the city.

The Sayem Memorial Foundation organised a doa and milad-mahfil at Suchana
Community Centre in the city's Shyamoli area after Asr prayers.

Sayem died in a road accident on September 6 in 2011 in Cox's Bazar.
