GAZIPUR, Aug 26, 2023 (BSS) - State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Zahid Ahsan Russel today urged the country's people to remain alert about the conspiracies being hatched against the country by the anti-liberation forces. 

"Anti-liberation forces are hatching conspiracies against the state. You should be aware of that and work to thwart their ill efforts," he told a discussion titled 'Bangabandhu's Assassination: State Terrorism and Role of Media from August 15, 1975 to August 21, 2004' at Shaheed AhsanUllah Master Youth Training Centre auditorium here.
 
Gazipur Union of Journalists (GUJ) organized the discussion marking the 48th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day with its President Md Ataur Rahman in the chair.

Noting that the journalists are contributing to spoil the anti-state conspiracies of the evil forces, Russel urged the newsmen to be more vigil in the days coming ahead to ruin the vested quarters' dream of halting the country's development.
 
Journalist leader and valiant freedom fighter Azizul Islam Bhuiyan, Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists Executive Member Nur-E-Jannat Akter Sima, Gazipur City unit of Awami League (AL) General Secretary Ataullah Mandal, Gazipur Press Club founding President Professor MA Bari and Gazipur City unit of Chhatra League President Mashiur Rahman Sarker Babu spoke, among others. 

GUJ General Secretary MA Salam Shanta conducted the discussion.
