RAJSHAHI, Aug 26, 2023 (BSS) – The residential students of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) will get supply of pure drinking water as its authority has taken need-based initiative to this end.

Filter for hot and cold water will be set up at the dining of six students dormitories. Filter will also be installed in each of the floors of the dormitories for pure drinking water.  

Apart from this, the existing six-millimeter pipeline will be replaced by 10-millimeter base pipes in the campus for supplying of pure drinking water.

The RUET administration took the decision in an emergency meeting with its Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Jahangir Alam in the chair at his office conference hall today.

Students Welfare Director Prof Rabiul Awal, Chief Engineer Shahadat Hossain and the hall provosts were present at the meeting.
In the meeting, VC Prof Jahangir Alam directed to the concerned departments to formulate a proposal for ensuring the supply of iron-free drinking water in the RUET campus within the next one week.
