SANGSAD BHABAN, June 19, 2023 (BSS) - State Minister for Public

Administration Farhad Hossain today said now the country has a vacant of
3,55,854 posts in different government offices.

"Now some 3,55,854 posts remain vacant under all the ministries/ directorate
and field administration," he said.

The state minister said this while responding to a star-marked question
raised by treasury bench lawmaker Kazim Uddin Ahmed of Mymensingh-11 in the
question-answer session which was tabled at the Jatiya Sangsad here with
Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.

To full-fill the vacant post is an ongoing process, Farhad said, adding: "The
process is being accurately. The posts remain vacant in generally due to
regular retirement and creation of new posts."

But the government immediately could not fill up the existing vacant posts
due to embargo in some extent imposed by the court, said the minister.

Even the government, as per the rules, always keeps reserve 10 percent posts
to manage the surplus employees, the state minister added.

To fill up the vacant posts, he said recruitment process is now being
underway by the respective ministries/division /departments.
