Dhaka, Aug 24, 2021 (BSS) - State Minister for Information and Broadcasting.  Dr Murad Hasan today expressed his deep shock at the death of Justice Amir Hossain.

"Justice Amir Hossain, a member of the Tribunal for Crimes against Humanity, has shown honesty and efficiency while performing his duties as a judge and his death has caused irreparable damage to the judiciary and the judiciary of Bangladesh," he said.

Murad said this after attending the Janaza
at the Supreme Court premises after Zohr prayer, said a release.

"The nation has lost one of the country's most renowned jurists," he said.

Murad prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his deepest sympathy to the bereaved family.

Justice Hossain died at the Combined Military Hospital here this morning.

He is survived by wife, two daughters and a son.
