
DHAKA, June 17, 2023 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) Presidium Member Qamrul Islam today said BNP once again wants to establish un-elected government through formation of caretaker government.
"BNP wants to establish an unelected government in the country through caretaker government as it does not want elections in the country," he said.
The veteran AL leader was addressing the tri-annual conference of seven ward units of City unit of south Jubo League under Dhaka-4 constituency (Shyampur-Kadamtoli Thana) in front of Gazi Tank Factory at Shyampur Industrial Area of Kadmatoli here.
Speaking on the occasion, AL Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim said that the youth, who are imbued with the spirit of War of Liberation, is the strength of this party as well as the country.
"If young remains united, Sheikh Hasina will become stronger and Bangladesh will be stronger," he added.
Raising question over BNP-Jamaat's activities in the name of youth rally, he said the youth of Chattogram have vandalized the photos of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the name of holding rally.
Chairman of Bangladesh Awami Jubo League Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash inaugurated the conference with Dhaka South City unit of Jubo League Vice President Syed Ahmed in the chair.
AL Central Committee member Sanjida Khanam, Dhaka South City unit of AL President Abu Ahmed Mannafi and General Secretary of Jubo League Mainul Khan Nikhil also spoke, among others.
