DHAKA, June 14, 2023 (BSS) - Gitanjali Lalitakala Academy will organize cultural programmes on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bishwakabi Rabindranath Tagore and National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. 

The 162nd birth anniversary of Nobel laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore was on May 8, while the 124th birth anniversary of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam was on May 24. 

The programme will be held at the Small and Cottage Industries Institute Auditorium from 5 pm to 8 pm on June 16, 2023, said a press release.

A discussion will also be organised with Gitanjali's advisor and former Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique in the chair. 

Bangladesh Mohila Awami League President Meher Afroz Chumki, MP, will be present as special guest at the programme.

Founder of the academy and cultural personality Mahbub Amin Mithu will gave the welcome address while cultural personality Ataur Rahman will also be present at the function.
