CHAPAINAWABGANJ, June 14, 2023 (BSS)-With the call for knowledge-based education technical and vocational education week-2023 was begun here today.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chapainawabganj AKM Galib Khan inaugurated the week as chief guest by flying balloons at local polytechnic institute premises at Baroghoria under sadar upazila here at 10-30 am.

Later, a colourful procession was brought out from there. After parading the main roads of the town, the procession ended at the same venue where a discussion was held.

Chaired by the Principal of Chapainawabganj Polytechnic Institute AJM Masudur Rahman, it was attended, among others by, Principal of local Technical Training Centre Md. Moinuddin, Chief Instructor (Electrical) of the centre Afia Rahman, Chief Instructor (Tech/RAC) Md. Abdul Malek and institutional heads of different Technical Institutions of the district.

The chief guest said, "We have entered into the fourth industrial revolutionary era."

He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has made a 'Baw-Deep' plan that includes SDG plan and building a Smart Bangladesh by 2041.

He urged all to be smart with efficiency to build up a Smart Bangladesh.

The week will conclude on Sunday next through a seminar and prize distribution ceremony, the speakers of the inaugural function mentioned.
