DHAKA, June 9, 2023 (BSS) - Serajul Alam Khan, one of the organisers of the War of Liberation, passed away this afternoon while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) here.

He was 82.

Khan breathed his last around 2.30pm at the intensive care unit of DMCH, hospital sources said.

On May 20, he was admitted to the hospital with old-age complications. As his condition deteriorated, he was put on life support on Thursday (yesterday).

Founder of Jatiya Samajtatnrik Dal, Khan was born on 6 January, 1941 in Noakhali district. He studied in Khulna Zilla School, Dhaka College and University of Dhaka.

He served as the general secretary of Chhatra League from 1963 to 1965.
