DHAKA, June 8, 2023 (BSS) - A two-year old girl child lost her arm as a hyena attacked on her at the National Zoo in the city's Mirpur area today.

The child along with her parents and relatives went to the zoo from Gazipur this morning. While visiting the zoo, she entered her arm through the security net of hyena's cage and within few seconds, a hyena bit her arm and separate her arm, police said. 

The incident took place around 11.45 am.

The child was admitted to National Institute of Traumatology & Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR).
