NETRAKONA, June 2, 2023 (BSS) - Kamrunnesa Ashraf Dina, president of Netrakona district unit Mohila Awami League (AL) and spouse of State Minister for Social Welfare Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru, MP, laid to eternal rest at Netrakona municipality graveyard here this evening. 

Her first Namaj-e-Janaza was held at 9 am today at Circuit house mosque in Kakrail, Dhaka and second janaza was held at Netrakona Muktarpara ground here at 6 pm. 

She died of kidney ailment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib medical university hospital last night.

She was a renowned social worker and the chairman of Netrakona Central Cooperative Bank Limited and founder of the Holy Child Kinder Garden School and Netrakona Autistic School and she was the president of Netrakona Datta High School governing body. 

Besides, she was involved with different socio-cultural organizations including Srama Unnayan Sangstaha and district sports association.

Prior to the Janaza, the body of Kamrunnahar Ashraf Dina was kept at Netrakona Muktarpara ground where parliament members, leaders of Netrakona district AL and it's associate bodies and leaders of different socio-cultural organizations and heads of different institutions and people from all walks of life paid glowing tributes to her. 

Those who placed floral wreaths on her coffin included Ashim Kumar Ukil, MP, Manu Mojumder, MP, Muazzem Hussain Ratan, MP, Habiba Rahman Khan Shefali, MP, vice canceller (VC) of Sheikh Hasina university Dr. Golam Kabir, deputy commissioner Netrakona Anjana Khan Mojlish, chairman of Netrakona zila parishad Asit Kumar Sarker Sazal and chairman of Netrakona sader upazila parishad Ataur Rahman Manik, president of district AL Advocate Amirul Islam and general secretary of the district AL Advocate Shamsur Rahman Liton.
