Golden jubilee of independence will be celebrated up to grassroots

   DHAKA, Aug 19, 2021 (BSS) - The golden jubilee of the country's
great independence will be celebrated up to grassroots with engaging
people of all strata including students of different educational
institutions.

  The decision was taken today at the fifth meeting of the cabinet
committee formed for the celebration of the golden jubilee of the
great independence at Liberation War Affairs Ministry's conference
room here.

   Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque chaired the
meeting, said a press release here.

   During the meeting, implementation of year-long different programme
in light with the approved plan of the celebration of golden jubilee
of independence was discussed.

  The meeting stressed holding both physical and virtual programme to
celebrate the golden jubilee.

  LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Md Tazul Islam, Education Minister Dr
Dipu Moni, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam, State
Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain, State Minister for
Cultural Affairs KM Khalid, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman's Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation
Committee Chief Coordinator Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, Youth and
Sports Secretary Md Akhtar Hossain, Commerce Secretary Tapan Kanti
Ghosh, Information and Broadcasting Secretary Md Makbul Hossain,
Cultural Affairs Secretary Md Abul Mansur, Editors Guild President
Mozammel Babu, poet and writer Tariq Sujat joined the meeting on
virtual platform.

   State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Liberation War
Affairs Secretary Khaja Miah, Cabinet Division (Coordination and
Reforms) Secretary Md Kamal Hossain, writer and researcher Lieutenant
Colonel (Retd) Quazi Sazzad Ali Zahir, Bir Pratik, and media
personality Shubhash Singho Roy were present in the meeting
physically.
