KHULNA, April 17, 2023 (BSS) - Rear Admiral Mir Ershad Ali, Chairman of the Mongla Port Authority (MPA) today distributed Eid gifts among 1200 people including its employees, Ansars, daily wage-based employees, Imams and Moazzems of the port for the first time.

The gift item-packet contained 3 KGs of miniket rice, 1KG Polao rice, 1KG lentils, 1 KG sugar, three liters of oil (fresh), one packet of laccha semai (I KG) and 500 grams of milk powder.

Rear Admiral Mir Ershad Ali in his speech as chief guest said, “On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the third and fourth class employees are given greetings for the first time. In order to spread the joy of Eid to everyone, this is a small effort for their betterment. This trend will continue in the future.”

It is very difficult to be successes in working alone, so everyone has to work as a team for the development of the Mongla Port, he added.

Captain Md Asaduzzaman, Member-Harbor & Marine, Dr A K M Anisur Rahman, Member-Engineering and Development and Kalachand Singh, Secretary and Director (Administration), different departmental heads of the MPA, CBA Leaders and other officials and employees of the port, were also present.
