BNP’s statements can watch on TV as AL govt. ensures electricity: Hasan

CHATTOGRAM, April 5, 2023 (BSS) - Information and Broadcasting Minister and Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud today said that the remarks of BNP leaders are watched on Television as the Awami League (AL)-led government has ensured electricity in the country.

"The speeches of BNP leaders such as Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir or Gayeshwar Babu would not have been seen on television, if Awami League had not arranged electricity connection in every house in the village of the country," he said.

The minister said these while addressing the Trinomul representative meeting organized by the Upazila unit of Awami League on Uttar Rangunia High School premises in Rangunia Upazila here.

Highlighting AL-led government's development activities, he said that the road through which those who secretly go to the city from Rangunia to the BNP procession is also made by Awami League.

Awami League also has donations in the mosque where they offer prayers, he said, adding that the school-building where their children are studying is also built by Awami League.

Criticizing BNP men for their evil behaviors, Hasan, also the lawmaker from Chattogram-7 constituency warned the leaders of his areas saying that they (BNP men) will come again during the polls and make various criticisms. 

"Ask them if they can fill the holes in the roads that Awami League has made? They don't even have that capability. If money comes to fill holes, they will fill their own pockets with that money like past times," he said.

Pointing out the Trinomul leaders and activists, the information minister said that Trinomul leaders sustained the AL party with their hard work and bloods for ages.

Lauding their contribution to the party, he said:" You all have kept our party alive in villages and towns".
 
"The country has changed today under the leadership of pro-people leader and AL President Sheikh Hasina," he added.

Not even the main road, now the road to people's houses has also been paved, he said, adding that Trinomul leaders and activists also deserve these developments.


"These developments of the government should be highlighted to the common people in the villages, towns and markets," he continued.

With Rangunia Upazila Awami League vice president Lokmanul Haque Talukder in the chair, the meeting was conducted by AL leaders Faruq Ahmed Talukder and Mahmudul Hasan Badsha.

Besides, Awami League leaders Swajan Kumar Talukder, Abul Kashem Chishti, Md Ali Shah, Shafiqul Islam, Aktar Hossain Khan, Engineer Shamsul Alam Talukder, Nizam Uddin Badsha, Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury Milton, Jasim Uddin Talukder, Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Rafiqul Islam Talukder, Sirajul Islam Chowdhury, Ektehar Hossain, Jamal Uddin, Mir Golam Mostafa Babul and Mohammad Yunus were present, among others, on the occasion.
