DHAKA, April 5, 2023 (BSS) - Prime Minister's Private Sector Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of former advisor to the caretaker government and renowned woman entrepreneur Rokia Afzal Rahman.

In a condolence message, Salman prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
 
Rokia Afzal Rahman passed away at the Mt. Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore early morning today. She was 82.

She left behind two daughters, a son and a host of family members, relatives and well wishers to mourn her death.

Rokia was also the vice president of International Chamber of Commerce, a Trustee Board member of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) and founding president of the Bangladesh Federation of Women Entrepreneurs.
