DHAKA, Aug 16, 2021 (BSS) - Information and Broadcasting Secretary
M Mokbul Hossain today called for unearthing clues behind the killing
of Bangabandhu as the heinous killing was a part of long planned
conspiracy by the anti-liberation forces that are still active in the
country.

   "To reveal information behind the brutal killing of Bangabandhu is
now a demand in the course of time," he told a virtual discussion
organized by the Press Information Department (PID) marking the 46th
martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the
National Mourning Day at secretariat here.

   "The design of brutal killing of Bangabandhu was not completed in a
day, even it was not only a matter of some armed forces member," he
said, adding, "The 100-minute long killing operation was a part of
long planned conspiracy of the anti-liberation forces...the
conspirators are now being activated even after 50 years of
independence."

   So, probing information behind the killing of Bangabandhu is now a
demand of time, he told the function.

   Bangabandhu, was the first, who dreamed an independent state for
the Bangalees ... founded an Independent Bangladesh through liberation
war by motivating crores of Bangalees.

  Chaired by Principal Information Officer (PIO) M Shahenur Mia, the
meeting was also attended, among others, by Director General of Press
Institute Bangladesh (PIB) Jafor Wazed, Director General of the
National Mass Media Institute Shahin Islam, Director General of
Bangladesh Television Sohrab Hossen, Department of Mass
Communication's Director General Bidhan Chandra Karmakar, PID
Additional Director General Faijul Huq, Bangladesh Film and Television
Institute Chief Executive M Abdul Kalam Azad, Officials of PID and its
regional offices, public relations officials from different ministries
and division virtually joined the programme.
