DHAKA, March 18, 2023 (BSS) - A delegation, led by ex-Chairman of the US-based leading tech giant Intel Corporation Omar Ishrak, today held a meeting with State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak at Agargaon's ICT tower here.

In the meeting, they discussed different issues including modernization of Bangladesh healthcare system and turning the country into a smart one.
 
They also discussed planning and creating a tech-based National Healthcare Database in the country with the joint efforts of the ICT department, Medtronic LABS, BRAC and I-Health Solutions Ltd.

A decision was taken about creating a primary draft and taking necessary steps to develop a pilot project.

Director General of ICT Department Md Mostafa Kamal, Medtronic Labs global market president Ruchika Singhal, Managing Director of I-Health Solutions Ltd Farrukh Alam, BRAC Executive Director Asif Saleh and officers from ICT Department were present in the meeting.
