DHAKA, March 22, 2023 (BSS) - KOICA Bangladesh Alumni Association (KBAA) in
collaboration with Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Dhaka
North City Corporation (DNCC) today planted 500 saplings at National
Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) here.
The trees were planted on the hospital ground as part of a volunteer
initiative for social responsibility, which will contribute to better overall
health outcomes and have a big impact on the well being of NICVD's patients,
visitors and staff, a press release issued by KOICA said.
The event was attended, among others, by KBAA President Nasima Begum, KOICA's
Deputy Country Director Hyun Suh Kang and Director of NICVD Mir Jamal Uddin.
KBAA in line with KOICA's core values of 5Ps-- People, Peace, Prosperity
Planet, Partnership-- will continue to focus on eco-friendly activities in
Bangladesh aligned with Korea's Green New Deal agenda, the release added.
