ICMAB holds discussion to observe National Mourning Day

DHAKA, Aug 16, 2021 (BSS) - The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) observed the National Mourning Day yesterday through holding a discussion on Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

A special webinar discussion program was held yesterday evening where Amir Hossain Amu, Chairman of the Parliament Standing Committee on the Ministry of Industries attended as the chief guest.

Waseqa Ayesha Khan, Chairman of the Parliament Standing Committee on the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources and Tapan Kanti Ghosh, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce attended the program as special guests, said a press release.

Professor DR. Syed Anwar Husain, Ex-Chairman, Department of History, Dhaka University and Ex-Director General, Bangla Academy was present as discussant. Md. Anwarul Islam, Member, Sub-committee of Commerce & Industries, Bangladesh Awami League presented the keynote paper.

ICMAB President Abu Bakar Siddhique presided over the discussion meeting while AKM Delwer Hussain, Chairman of ICMAB Seminar & Conference Committee and President of South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) also spoke.

Md. Jasim Uddin Akond, Past President, ICMAB and present Council member conducted and moderated the program.

Md. Mamunur Rashid, Vice-President of ICMAB delivered the welcome speech while Kazi Muhammad Ziauddin, secretary of ICMAB offered the vote of thanks.
