No shortage of fertilizer in country: Sujan

PANCHAGARH March 19, 2023 (BSS) - Railways Minister Advocate Nurul Islam Sujan said farmers are getting fertilizer at a fair price as there is no shortage of fertilizer in the country, much to boost agri-productions.

"Bangladesh became independent in the month of March, 1971 under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman . . . We are enjoying the benefits of independence and the country is making progress in all aspects," he said.

The present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is unremittingly working to build 'Sonar Bangla' as dreamt by Bangabandhu and the Premier is pledged-bound to materialise the dream of her father, Sujan said.

"A huge number of educational institutions have been constructed as the incumbent government led by Awami League is putting emphasis on education," he said as the chief guest while inaugurating the newly constructed four-storied building of Danipara Gaighata Girls High School under Boda upazila here yesterday.

Education Engineering Department has implemented the project involving Tk 2.72 crore.

The function was addressed, among others, by upazila chairman Faruk Alam Tobi, executive engineer of the education engineering department Mehedi Hasan, Maydandigi union Awami League President Nakibul Habib Babla, and head teacher of the school Zoshimul Islam.

President of the school managing committee and also Maydandigi UP chairman Abdur Jabbar Presided over the function.

Students of the school, teachers, guardians, and local elites were present at the function.

Later, the minister inaugurated Hindu Community's Baruni Mela at Boualmari ghat.
