DHAKA, March 11, 2023 (BSS) - The seventh edition of the Women's Mathematics Olympiad was held today at Dhaka University's AF Mujibur Rahman Mathematics building.
 
DU Vice Chancellor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the competition in the morning while Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar distributed the prizes among the winners in the afternoon, said a press release.

DU Pro-VC (Administration) Dr Mohammad Samad, Science faculty dean Dr Md Abdus Samad, Mathematics department chairman Md Shahidul Islam, President of Women's Olympiad Committee Professor Chandra Nath Podder and general secretary Dr Tania Sharmin Khalek also addressed the event, among others. 

Number of female students from different universities took part in the day-long competition. The winners have been awarded with certificates, crests and prize money at the end of the event, it added.
