DHAKA, Aug 15, 2021 (BSS) – Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Department and its affiliated organizations today paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on his 46th martyrdom anniversary and the National Mourning Day.

On the occasion, wreaths were laid at the portrait of Bangabandhu at the ICT Tower here with the initiative of ICT department, an official release said.  

Officers and staff of ICT Department and ICT Directorate under it, Bangladesh Computer Council, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park, Controller of Certifying Authority, Digital Security Agency and all projects under the department were present at that time.

 A minute of silence was observed to pay tribute to Bangabandhu and other martyrs of his family who were brutally killed by disgruntled army men on August 15, 1975.

Later, different level officials took part in the memorial meeting on Bangabandhu presided over by NM Ziaul Alam, Senior Secretary, ICT Department.
