DHAKA, March 6, 2023 (BSS) - Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of National Film Award-winning dance director Masum Babul.

In a message of condolence, the minister said Masum worked in the film 'Mujib: The Making of a Nation' based on the life of Bangabandhu. In a four-decade-long career, he has directed and performed in many films including 'Beder Mey Josna', 'Koti Takar Kabin' and 'Bikkhobh'.

Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary, said three times National Film Award winner Masum will be remembered for ever for his outstanding contribution as a dance director for the films 'Dola' in 1993, 'Ki Jadu Karila' in 2008 and 'Ekti Cinemar Golpo' in 2018.

The minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
