KUSHTIA, Feb 28, 2023 (BSS) - Islamic University (IU) unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League, a student wing of the ruling Awami League, today held an awareness campaign against ragging and sexual harassment on the campus.

The leaders and activists of the IU BCL unit, at around 12:00 pm, brought out a rally led by its unit president Faisal Siddike Arafat and general secretary Nasim Ahmed Joy respectively.

The procession ended at the Battala on the campus after parading the main roads of the university attended by around 300 leaders and activists.

IU BCL unit vice-president Tonmoy Saha Tony, Bani Amin, Ariful Islam Khan, Mamun-or-Rashid, Joint General Secretary Hossain Mazumdar and Shohag Sheikh took part in the procession while many were seen holding anti-ragging posters and placards.

IU BCL unit secretary Nasim Ahmed Joy said, "We are always against ragging and sexual harassment. We do not support this kind of criminal offence."
 
Later, they distributed leaflets, among the students, against ragging and sexual harassment.
