3-day int'l symposium begins tomorrow at KU

KHULNA, Feb 28, 2023 (BSS) - A three-day international symposium on 'Healthy Mangroves and Sustainable Fisheries for Climate Resilient Coastal Community in South Asia' will begin on the premises of Khulna University (KU) tomorrow.

 
Fisheries and Marine Resource Technology (FMRT) Discipline of the KU, Global Nature Fund and Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) are jointly organizing the event.

 KU vice-chancellor Professor Dr Mahmud Hossain will inaugurate the symposium as the chief guest.
 
Researchers and specialists from 15 countries will participate in the symposium while professor Norman C Duke, James Cook University of Australia, will present the keynote paper.

A total of 133 research papers will be presented at the symposium.
