MANIKGANJ, AUG, 13, 2021 (BSS) – The 10 th death anniversary of famous filmmaker Tareque Masud and prominent journalist M ishuk Munier was observed here with various programmes including human chain, discussion and tree plantation.

Tareque Masud and Mishuk Munier died along with their associates Wasim, Jamal and driver Mustafizur Rahman in a fatal road crash on the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Ghior Upazila of Manikganj on August 13, 2011 while returning from the shooting set of his unfinished film ‘Kagojer Phul’.

A memorial monument was established on the spot by the locals and several organizations had been observing this day in remembrance of Tareque and Mishuk with different programmes in the past. This year they also formed a human chain at Joka on the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Ghior upazila where Tareque Masud and Mishuk Munir died.
