DHAKA, Feb 6, 2023 (BSS) - Former president of Gopalganj district unit Awami League (AL), former chairman of the district council and valiant freedom fighter Chowdhury Emdadul Haque passed away today. 
 
Family sources said he died while undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital. He was 84.
 
He is survived by three sons and one daughter and a host of friends, relatives, well-wishers and admirers to mourn his death.
 
Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Chowdhury Emdadul Haque.
 
In a condolence message, the minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
