DHAKA, Feb 6, 2023 (BSS) - Prime Minister and Awami League (AL) President Sheikh Hasina today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of former president of her party's Gopalganj district unit, former chairman of the district council and valiant freedom fighter Chowdhury Emdadul Haque.

In a message of condolence, she said, "Emdadul Haque was an honest, sincere and hard working leader. Bangladesh Awami League has lost a dedicated leader at his death."

The head of the government prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
