DHAKA, Feb 05, 2023 (BSS) - Md Shamsul Arefin joined the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division today as its secretary.

Prior to that, he served the cabinet division as secretary for coordination and reforms.

He has also been the additional secretary and joint secretary of the same division.

He is an 11th batch officer of BCS administration cadre. He started his career as assistant commissioner and magistrate at Manikganj district.

He also served as upazila nirbahi officer, additional deputy commissioner, deputy commissioner and different positions of field administration in different districts.

He obtained Bachelor of Commerce degree (honours) in finance from Dhaka University.
