DHAKA, Jan 28, 2023 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim today called for combating the anti-state evil forces like BNP-Jamaat.

"We have to fight against these evil forces (BNP-Jamaat) as they will destroy Bangladesh if get chances," he said.

He said this after paying tribute to the bust of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Parramatta campus of the Western Sydney University in Australia.

The AL leader also urged all to resist all the conspiracies of BNP-Jamaat being imbued with the ideals of the Father of the Nation.

He said that the aim of Bangabandhu was to give economic emancipation to the people of Bangladesh and to establish Bangladesh as a prestigious country in the world.

He also said Bangabandhu's worthy daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina saved the democracy of the country following the brutal killing of the Father of the Nation.

Bahauddin Nasim also hoped that the premier will realize her father's dream of building a prosperous Bangladesh.

By executing the conviction of the murderers of Bangabandhu and most of his family members, the prime minister has now taken the country a far way towards building the 'Sonar Bangladesh'.

AFM Bahauddin Nasim's wife Sultana Shamima Chowdhury Rita, Australia AL unit President Dr Sirajul Haque, Vice President Mustafizur Rahman Rana, Joint General Secretary Mohammad Ali Sikder and Organizing Secretary Mosleur Rahman Khushbo were also present, among others, on the occasion.
