Panchagarh, August 10, 2021 (BSS) - Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujon here today said the 15th of August is the tragic day for Bengali Nation as Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members were brutally killed on this day in 1975.   

“Bangabandhu was the leading person for the independence of Bangladesh and his contribution to the nation will never be forgotten,” he said while addressing a preparatory meeting on the occasion of National Mourning Day.

The meeting was held at Panchagarh Awami League party office.

MP from Panchagarh-1 constituency Md Mojaharul Haque Prodhan was present as a special guest at the event.   

It was addressed, among others, by the district general secretary of Awami League Anowar Sadat Samrat, Vice-president Abu Toabur Rahman, and Awami League leader Abu Sarowar Bokul.
