DHAKA, Jan 22, 2023 (BSS) - Abdul Quaium Chowdhury has recently joined the Premier Bank Limited as its Deputy Managing Director (DMD).

Prior to joining the bank, he was the Senior Executive Vice President of Southeast Bank Limited.

Quaium Chowdhury is a result-driven senior management executive with more than 28 years of blending experience with two top ranking banks in the country having remarkable achievements throughout the career.

 He started his banking career in 1994 as probationary officer with IFIC Bank Ltd. and worked there for more than eight years. After that, he served for Southeast Bank Limited for 20 years where he performed the role of head of Principal Branch and Dhanmondi Branch. 

Besides, he also performed various crucial roles in Foreign Trade Services Department. He was rewarded with various professional awards for his outstanding performance as branch manager and contributed remarkably in banking arena.

Born in a noble Muslim family, Quaium Chowdhury is a man of Bijoykara, Chouddagram, Cumilla. He obtained his Bachelor and Master's degrees in International Relations (IR) from University of Dhaka.

His wife Mahmuda Shelly is also a senior banker of the South East Bank Limited. He is father of a son and a daughter.
