JASHORE, Jan 20, 2023 (BSS) - A two-day long Purbo Paschim Literature 
Festival has begun in the town this morning. 

Writer Anwara Syed Haq inaugurated the festival in a function at RRF Training 
and Resource Centre here. 

Editor of Purbo Paschim Ashraf Juel in the chair former President of Bangla 
Academy Mohammad Harun-ar-Rashid took part the function as the chief guest.

In his speech Mohammad Harun-ar-Rashid said poets are not common men. "Poets 
direct people to truth and suggest people to right path"

Nepali writer Bhisma Upreti delivered welcome speech in the inauguration 
function.

Poet Mohammad Rafiquzzaman, Hossain Uddin Hossain, poet Zahidul Haque, Amit 
Goswami, Iqbal Rahsedin and Khairul Kabir Chanchol were present, among others 
native and foreign poets and writers.
