Indian High Commissioner calls on DU VC

DHAKA, Jan 10, 2023 (BSS) - Newly appointed Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma today called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman at the latter's office of the university. 
 
Attach, (Education) Jayanta Bakshi and Second Secretary Vaibhav Sunil Gondane of Indian High Commission, DU Registrar Probir Kumar Sarker, Provost of Jagannath Hall Prof. Dr. Mihir Lal Saha and Director of DU Public Relations Office Mahmood Alam were present on this occasion. 
 
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest and exchanged views about strengthening the ongoing academic and research collaborations between DU and Indian Universities, said a press release. 
 
They also emphasized the enhancement of the exchange of faculties and students. Exploration of new avenues of mutual collaboration especially the possibility of signing more MoUs between DU and Indian leading universities was also discussed in the meeting.
 
Welcoming Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma DU VC Prof. Akhtaruzzaman apprised him of the academic programs of the university and hoped that the bilateral friendly relations would be further strengthened with more joint collaborative academic and research programmes among DU and Indian universities.
 
Later, Akhtaruzzaman thanked Indian High Commissioner for his visit to the university and for showing keen interest in promoting collaborations with Dhaka University.
