DHAKA, June 23, 2021 (BSS) - Bangladesh Navy today formally handed over 45 barrack houses under the Asrayan Project-2 among  homeless and uprooted people of Char Nijam Uddin under Monpura upazila of   Bhola district to its  administration.

The barrack houses were handed over to the representative of  Deputy Commissioner and Monpura Upazilla Nirbahi Officer Md Shamim Miah, an ISPR release said.

The barrack houses,  built by Bangladesh Navy   following the directives  of the Prime   Minister's Office and under   overall supervision of the Armed Forces Division.

The newly built barracks have a total of 225 units,  of which one family can reside  with a  separate kitchen and bathroom.

Works are also on to build 140 more barrack houses in Hatia and 208 barrack houses in the coastal island Sandwip.
