DHAKA, July 27, 2021 (BSS) - Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan was adorned with the rank badge of Air Chief Marshal at a function in presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhaban today.

   “Chief of Army Staff General S M Shafiuddin Ahmed and Acting Chief of Naval Staff Rear Admiral M Abu Ashraf adorned the air chief with the rank badge of Air Chief Marshal,” Prime Minister’s Assistant Press Secretary MM Emrul Kayas told BSS.

     After the badge-adorning ceremony, the Prime Minister wished the air chief all success in discharging his duties, said Emrul Kayas.

     The air chief also sought ‘doa’ and blessing of the Prime Minister.  

     Prime Minister’s Office Secretary Md. Tofazzel Hossain Miah, Director General of Special Security Force Major General Md Majibur Rahman and Prime Minister’s Military Secretary Major General Naquib Ahmed Chowdhury, among others, were present.

      Earlier, on June 12 afternoon Shaikh Abdul Hannan took over the command of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF). Later on June 13, he was adorned with the rank badge of Air Marshal.
