Dhaka, July 26, 2026 (BSS) - The primary registration for Hajj 2027 will begin on July 27 next.

The registration process will continue until September 24 this year. Those wishing to perform Hajj will have to complete the primary registration within this period, said a press release.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced this schedule according to the roadmap for Hajj programmes announced by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

Initial registration for Hajj can be accomplished through any government or private agency by depositing Taka 3.5 lakh. Primarily registered persons will have to pay the remaining amount of the package price by December 10 this year and complete the final registration.

Before the initial registration, pilgrims will have to pre-register by paying Taka 30,000.

Anyone can register themselves by creating a user in the e-Hajj system (hajj.gov.bd) through the government. In addition, Hajj registration can be done at the union digital centres, Islamic Foundation's divisional and district offices, district and upazila model mosques, Islamic Foundation's Baitul Mukarram office and Dhaka hajj office.

Those wishing to perform Hajj through the government will have to make initial registration by depositing money through a voucher at any branch of Sonali Bank.
However, the Hajj pilgrims wishing to perform hajj through a private agency will have to deposit money into the account specified by the agency in the bank concerned with Hajj activities. The agency's bank account information can be found in the profile of the agency concerned on the Hajj portal.

No one under 15 years will be able to go for Hajj. In addition, people with chronic diseases such as heart, lung, liver or kidney diseases, neurological or mental disorders and dementia, cancer patients taking chemotherapy or biological therapy or radiotherapy will not be able to go for Hajj.

In addition, people with active infectious diseases that affect public health such as tuberculosis and hemorrhagic fever will not be able to go for Hajj. No female Hajj pilgrim will be issued a fitness certificate during the last two months of pregnancy or during a high-risk pregnancy.

During the primary registration, Hajj pilgrims will be required to select the district for training and vaccination, the type of Hajj and the Hajj package. In addition, a passport valid until December 31, 2027 will be required, the press release said.
