DHAKA, July 6, 2026 (BSS) - Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Abdullah Zafer H. bin Abiyah today paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. 

The meeting was held at the Cabinet Division in the Bangladesh Secretariat at 9:40 am, said Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Shahadat Hossain Shadhin.

During the meeting, he said, the Saudi envoy handed over a letter from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud to the Prime Minister. 

The two sides discussed issues of mutual interest.

Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman, Prime Minister's Adviser on Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir and Saudi Deputy Ambassador to Bangladesh Ibrahim Abdullah were present at the meeting.
